A mix of classic & contemporary design, this design was sketched while camping beneath Half Dome, in Yosemite National Park. I’ve designed this credenza to value the nuances, rather than the obvious.

Much like its namesake, El Capitan, this credenza incorporates large, flat faces surrounded by smaller details; Half Blind Dovetailed joinery for appearance and structural value, a pillowed & rounded perimeter laid into the doors to soften the hard corners of the cabinet, and a subtly curved archway extending the length of the base.

Pictured credenza features one adjustable shelf, supported by moveable brass shelf pins. Stainless steel handles are standard, and vent cutouts in the rear panel allow electronic airflow as well as cord entrance. All Capitan credenzas are finished & rubbed by hand, with a hard wax oil for permanent protection & beauty. Slow & Soft close hinges for a gentle, noiseless operation.

Pictured credenza measures 54”L x 30”T & 16” Deep. Custom sizes are encouraged & available, as well as 5 wood varieties to suit any home.

Absolutely beautiful

Absolutely love my cabinet. Craftsmanship has exceeded my every expectation. It will be a price that I will pass done to my children. I also had two shelves made to match the cabinet. Thank you so much.

Each piece of our furniture is handcrafted, one at a time, by us at our small studio. In order to ensure the highest quality craftsmanship, please allow 10-12 weeks from time of purchase to shipment.

2021-2022 has taught us the importance of patience — As a studio of only a small handful of craftspeople, sometimes our progress can become delayed by unforeseen circumstance; material & supply delays, or the the loss of a single pair of hands in the shop. In the event that we are delayed, please check your emails for communication from us, or do not hesitate to email us directly.
